Last time I used Raito Shinigami in a MAP part was in No Girls Toy (Part 2), the third MAP part I ever made. It was so crappy because I used vector. As an apology to my very first Light Yagami knock-off, I locked in. A buncha lore dumping for a comic I’ve put on unexpected hiatus (I’ve barely worked on volume one and I’m supposed to be working on volume three, the one where he appears in, this month TvT, this series is so screwed because I gave up, it felt like a chore and I lost motivation when the comic club I ran shut down. No one wanted to read my comics anymore, so I turned to animation… I know it was a good idea to pushback the drawing and date it according to the schedule but I still feel bad that the series isn’t going to be finished by the end of 2026 so The Angel Is A Devil Hunter can secure eight months on it… Maybe I should work on Fuminshou No Rakuen a little more…) that it basically reveals Raito’s whole backstory. If I recall correctly, the last time I used Raito in an animation as long and intense as this one was in Wet (A RaiRyu Animatic), which just gives the OPPOSITE vibes compared to this one. In other words, REVIVED (Part 3) is Pre-Dating-Detective, Wet is Post-Dating-Detective. -Sam. D
