AshWings are mainly monochromatic dragons with gold, orange, and red vein-like scale patterns across their bodies. They are descended from NightWing/SkyWing hybrids with a small hint of RainWing in the mix, but have long since evolved and adapted to become their own tribe. The AshWing Kingdom is located on a large island a few miles off the mainland where a small volcano and tropical volcanic jungle are. The air there is somewhat cleaner than the NightWing island due to the volcano being the kind that just slowly drizzles out lava. (An effusive volcano.) The AshWings have learned to adapt to the hot, humid jungle and volcano and their scales are heat resistant, allowing them to withstand the scorching heat when they head further up the volcano or close to a pool of lava. However, lava will still burn them, so don't expect to see them swimming in it. It's less dangerous for them to get burned by it though. They heal rather quickly and are usually pretty big. They tend to have smaller clutches of one to three eggs, with more being rare. They can breathe fire like both NightWings and SkyWings, but they aren't super talented fliers like SkyWings and cannot blend into the shadows like NightWings. However, some AshWings are born with the power of prophecy, (but not mind reading), and those AshWings are born with silver, gold, or white starscales like the ones NightWings have on their wings. They could have simply the NightWing teardrop or a small patch of flecks, or their entire body could be covered in starscales, although most common is something in between. To be hatched with these powers, the AshWing egg must hatch under the light of a full moon. However, their powers will be rather weak unless they are hatched under two full moons. It is currently unknown what happens if they hatch under a brightest night. Similar to RainWings, they are talented at flying through the jungle and have prehensile tails. They are a particularly musical tribe that often names their dragonets after songs, music, and dancing, as well as volcano and volcanic jungle related things.
AshWings have been accepted into the Lumina Academy RP by @HayleyLumeWing ! You can ask me (and then @HayleyLumeWing ) if you want to have an AshWing character in the RP! Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland! Art and the AshWings by me, ! Please ask my permission before making an AshWing. (Not saying you can't draw something similar but the concept of AshWings is mine and I'd like to have some control over the tribe. Thanks!)
