Chapter 16: Victory and great defeat. Wasted battle plan! There is no sign of victory! Glacier tribes has been successfully capitulated. Horatio's forces has gained full control of the icy land, even at the cost of a lot of marines, they have gained total control of the land. The rockets, although failing to cause as lot battlefield casualties as intended still shattered the morale of the enemy, while rocketeers blew up any hideouts or sniper nests. With the weapons of the Glacier tribes now belonging to Lord Nelson and Horatio, they will become one of the world's strongest powers. With giant floating fortresses and an unparalleled navy, they could easily beat anyone in a naval engagement. The Tsar is too busy with Gausstavus and the Garde Mortis hasn't threaten Horatio in a long time, maybe... Maybe this will become their golden age, the Eastern Dynasty has been alone this new colonization game and soon another player will join the server. Like how Ella entered Nelson's life and perfected it everyday until the day she couldn't. But back in Rehnskold as the battle in the Karoliner's side worsen every second, the king finally decide to commit his very last reserves. But as he marched towards the loud and chaotic battlefield, he was shot straight in the head. The incoming laser came from left side of Gausstavus' skull and exited from the right, the king is gone ended by the fire of a Glacier troop accompanied some twenty Strachzi far from the Grand Grenadier's range. The last of the Grand Grenadiers, having no choice than to continue their doomed assault, but before that they payed the Glacier troop who shot the king a quick visit. They are going to lose either way, but now they are taking down their enemies with them. As the battle slowly, excruciatingly painfully end Idun ordered her units to retreat, the battle has been lost with four thousand casualties for the Karoliner and thirty eight hundred for the Tsarist. This is the empire's downfall. Tsarist troops celebrate as they plan to continue their offensive, but they still need to wait for a couple of things first. First they need to wait until the Karoliner are truly gone, reorganize their army trying to regain lost strength and make sure any already repaired troops are ready for two. Yedinorog guns proved to be deadlier than their normal guns tearing apart fortifications like how a bear rips open it's prey. They ignored the Glacier tribe's call for help and Glacier troops in the Tsar's army aren't even informed that their land they once call home is already gone. With Sigismund back in power, Rehnskold won and Nelson busy. There is nothing stopping the Tsar from winning this war. Surviving Karoliner routed back, the surviving units are cracked and most of them unable to fight. In the Eastern Dynasty, Voidshift has been fully implemented in the Palace Guards allowing them to 'shift' during combat, while Void Gates are still limited to the old territories of the Rencong Voidcasters, they are very useful for transporting troops along the Archipelago. However Voidcaster weapons are still seen as weak and still does not impress them, at least for now where void technology isn't really that advanced yet. With this Void technology, the Eastern Dynasty could launch an attack against the Tsar as a form of revenge. "Captain of the Sea Hawk, he have been sailing east for almost a month, our escort submersible crafts has been protecting this ship for the entire voyage. I can assure we will find a new world soon and if not: pay our good ally Horatio a quick visit. The Empress' closest comrade is also ours." - Empress' Marines, Sea Hawk ship of the Line. In pursuit of finding more land the Eastern Dynasty set sail further east, if there is no hidden landmass they would simply take a stop at Horatio. What they didn't know is that a storm on their way out them off course, slightly to the south and causing them to instead head towards the Garde Mortis' colony, though still far away they are spotted briefly by a Garde Mortis frigate fleet consisting of two frigates and four more Sloops of War. "We saw them for a few seconds before disappearing to the fog, something we never saw before: a dragon head in it's bow, a large dragon head with golden eyes and glowing purple horns, it has some pretty unusual weaponry. It is alone, as if it's a tempting trap. They are unaware of our presence." Garde Mortis ship The Triumph. "Periscope out, we have spotted an usual presence. Possible unidentified craft spotted." Dynasty submersible craft 021 as they saw something beyond their fleet. Is that one of Horatio's ships? The crew thought as they continue their voyage. They have no idea they are sailing in the wrong direction and is actually going to Ney Mortier's colony, or the Yophates. "Restricted waters. They have entered restricted waters still unclear. It iss nothing like the Yophate or Sirrasan Liburna ramming vessels." - Garde Mortis sloop of war Vigilant Dagger.
