[Crossing of the Danube] Heavy artillery and rocket regiments will open fire, flattening the enemy’s forward defensive lines. Our combat engineers will deploy pontoon bridges, allowing Army Group West (35,000) to roll armored divisions alongside infantry to capture Vidin, Lom, Pleven, and Ruse. Army Group Central (29,000) would rush to capture Ruse, in order to separate the Bulgarian forces in half during the midst of the offensive. Once defensive positions are secured, heavy artillery and rocket regiments would begin suppressing any Bulgarian support until Army Group West arrives to resupply as Group Central would march towards the Balkan mountains. There, they would wait for further command. Simultaneously, Army Group East (27,000) would spearhead towards Varna, then towards Neseburg and Burgas to set up proper landing zones for the Soviet fleet and any Warsaw Pact amphibious landing. Army Group Amphibious (12,000), once Burgas or Neseburg is secured, would land and march towards Plovdiv using the Maritsa Basin to traverse easily rather than crossing the Balkan Mountains to get to Sofia. We would utilize our air force to contest the skies for our army to traverse the ground, rather than seeking to completely dominate them. Simultaneously, our navy would begin the naval bombardment of coastal Bulgarian fortifications without diverting the attention of our aircraft and without wasting the ammunition of both the planes and artillery alike.
hopefully this is sufficient [random note] after reading italy’s roleplay after they said they already occupied west bulgaria, i think it’s way too fast :p
