SPACE/CLICK------------------------------------------------------ Here is my OC, Lydia the coffee pot. ----LORE ↓↓↓↓↓---- In 1901, 2 engines were built with the same design as The Head Wrightson & Co. vertical boiler locomotive known as "Coffee Pot No. 1". These 2 engines were named Glynn, and Lydia. the 2 engines were shipped straight to the Crosby Coaling company on Sodor. In 1915, the 2 engines welcomed a 3rd engine, that being a GER J70 tram, Otherwise known as our faithful Toby. Toby arrived with Henrietta, as he could never leave her behind. In the same year, Crosby Coal struck a deal with the NWR, Stating that Crosby Coal will provide coal for the Railway, as long as they provide works service for their engines. They agreed and a small Line was built from the coaling plant, to around the outskirts of Knapford/ Elsbridge. The company was going splendidly, although, it was noticeable that Glynn and Lydia were showing their age. In 1932, Glynn and Lydia were put out of the way, allthough they had a contract with the NWR, their workshops were full, and had no space and time for them. They sat in the shed for a while. Toby was handling the coal runs fine, and so in 1935, Glynn and Lydia were sold to a scrapyard near Ffarquar. The scrapyard didn't have any rails to lead to it, so the 2 oldies were left in a old siding at the old grounds of a lead mine. While trundling down his branch line, a new signalman accidentally sent Thomas down to the old lead mine instead of the Ffarquar Quarry. There, he and his driver found the 2 sitting alone sleeping. The 2 were restored. Glynn and Lydia were put to work on the NWR as shunting engines around the island, although taking excursion trains now and then.------------------------------------------------------------
