art+writing: me! the one on here is baby tave. made for the studio new hyrule. (self indulgent writing and it’s very silly and idk I just wanted to post it to keep it here lol.) welcome to my writing style (it’s very inconsistent and sleepy) ch. 1 - tave, a toddler of the Zora. All Tave remembers were the words, “Please take her in, Seggin. You are raising most of the young ones within this domain. The Queen of Hyrule has predicted terrible things to happen, and the safest place she can stay is here. I’ll need to return to my husband’s domain.” And that Seggin was angry. “And you’re just going to leave the child here? So many Zora have left and you’re a mother, why won’t you stay with her?” “Please S-“ “Fine,” Seggin had replied sharply, grabbing Tave by the fin in a temper. “Go and leave. You better be the last one to do so. I cannot take in any more young’uns. I’m a sergeant. A loyal one. I have a job to do. Go away now, I hope you reckless being pass on the message to that we can’t have any more Zora leaving.” You young Zora always take things too seriously. You’re adults, but so childish. Why must we care about what the Hylians are worrying about… Tave wasn’t sure in understanding those words. Seggin murmurs a lot after all. It’s been about 11 years since that odd conversation, and Tave is 19 years old now. A tiny toddler, by Zora years. It was different from her father’s domain. Here, they were all a community. She slept in the pools up in the domain’s second floor, along with all the other Zora children. Kodah, Gaddison, Rivan. And Seggin’s annoyingly outgoing child Bazz. “I’ll become leader of the Zora Captain one day!” Boasting and boasting. Then there was baby Mei, little Fronk and Ledo (Tave swears they are twins), Marot, Dunma, Cleff and Tottika. “Tave!” Bazz shouted one day. “Tave, please help me think up the password for the Big Bad Bazz Brigade!” said Seggin’s son. “No! The name is ridiculous! Who’s part of this Big Bad Bazz Bridge anyway?” “Brigade. And no-body yet. And! You won’t be a part of it. I know that Hylian will though!” “Fine! I’ll play with Prince Sidon. Alone!” She marched up the stairs. Tave won’t be pushed close to crying. Right? Such are the ways of children, I guess. Prince Sidon was the toddler prince of the Zora. He was three or four years younger than Tave, and yet he seemed more mature than her. Such are the effects of royalty, Seggin once murmured. Sidon was like a big brother to all of the other children. He was very shy to older Zora, though (not Mipha, however. We’ll get to that in a bit.) Sidon’s father, King Dorephan, would always let children in his throne room. He liked watching over them. But he wasn’t here today. “Tave! Where’s Bazz?” “Sidon? Where is the King?” They said it in unison. Tave answered first. “Bazz is being very annoying, as he is when Seggin isn’t here. He’s very excited for a Hylian coming.” Tave could never remember this Hateno boy’s name. She added, “and he won’t let me in his pointless Big Bad Bazz Brigade.” “Why do you seem sad on being rejected from if, if you count is as pointless?” Sidon didn’t seem to notice her comment on the boy from Hateno. “Sidon, what’s the name of that Hylian boy who is friends with Mipha?” “I don’t remember either.” “Okay, next question. Where’s King Dorephan?” “I don’t know. Next question-“ Tave giggled. “-have you seen Yona? Maybe we may ask her to take us to Ralis Pond?” Tave tugged onto Sidon’s head-fin. “Maybe at Dento’s place. Come on, let’s go downstairs.” Yank! “Ouh! Tave that hurts!”
