Hi everyone! Let's talk.. 10 of MY pet peeves! So first I'm going to say all of my 10 pet peeves I'll be sharing with you all today! 1. invading personal space 2. Movie / book spoilers 3. line cutters 4. hot day 5. slow loading internet 6. rude people 7. Talking with food in mouth 8. When someone borrows something and doesn't return it 9. people who listen to music or anything without headphones 10. People who constantly complain about a problem but refuse to do anything to fix it Alright, but before I talk about my pet peeves, I'll tell you what pet peeves mean if you didn't know! Also these are not my top 10 but some of them are, I just don't know. -_- What does pet peeves mean? A pet peeve is like something that bothers you, or annoyed, or makes you mad. I don't know why they call it pet peeve because it makes me think of an animal or pet TT Alright- stop getting off track let's head to my pet peeves! 1. Invading personal space I don't really like when people hug me or put their arm around my shoulder, mainly because I'm uncomfortable with it. Even if it's my friends I don't really like it. I don't mind too much if it's my family. But, as I mentioned before I still wouldn't like it if even my best friends went into my personal space. I know there's a term for that but I just forgot it, like I'm not really social like that. 2. Movie / book spoilers Say I'm really into a book series, so lets just use... Wings of Fire as an example, no spoilers because I'm only on book 2 or just finished book 2, and on book 3 'The Hidden Kingdom' but anyways.. EXAMPLE: So Alice comes up to me, and is like, "hey, have you read wings of fire?" Then I nod my head and say, "Yes!" Alice gasped, "oh my gosh, really? Well did you know that Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight and Sunny are all from the Dragonet prophecy?" Obviously, I don't think its a spoiler, but if it is please tell me, but let's pretend it was a spoiler, so I'd get a bit annoyed, because it was a spoiler, and I didn't know they were from the Dragonet prophecy. 3. Line cutters I KNOW so much people hate this one too!! This happens to me so much at school! EXAMPLE: I'm like 4th in line, and Billy is in front of me, suddenly Joe and Bob cut in front of me to get to Billy. Seriously? That's Soo annoying, like stop, there's a spot in the back, a spot behind me, you don't need to cut in front of me, it's not like your life depends on it.. I genuinely do not care if Bob, Joe, and Billy are friends, now I'll just have to wait longer in a line that I already waited long enough in. 4. hot day I have a feeling not much people get bothered by this, but when it's a P.E day / for me Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at my school. Example: it's the last period of the day, my teacher makes us change out, then let's say my teacher, Mrs. Smith. (that's not my P.E teacher actual name, its a placeholder) She tells the class. "Go run two laps around the track." ' and keep in mind the track I have is like pretty big, it take 5-10 minutes to walk and 2-4 minutes to run. Obviously some might say it's not that big. but everyone has different paces. I do the running, and I'm sweating because it's a hot day. Mrs. Smith says, "Alright, go rest in the shade." but she only lets us stay in the shade for like a minute or two.. 5. Slow-loading Internet Example: I'm playing a game, suddenly my wifi disconnects or whatever, it takes forever to come back, and even when it does, it logs me out of the game.. This one doesn't annoy me too much, but it does annoy me, though I don't have much to say, you probably know what I mean. 6. Rude people As mentioned in my last post this annoys me Soo much... Example: Joe comes up to me, "Wow, your pants don't fit you at all-- they look.. ew..." You know what he said to me? What? He was like your so rude, and I was like boy? Does it look like I could care? I couldn't even care, less! Okay, but seriously, did I ask? I mean like that 'comeback' isn't great, but genuinely, I didn't ask for you opinion Joe. I didn't tell you that your haircut your barber gave you looks bad. But at least my pants look better on me than your haircut looks on you. 7. Talking with food in mouth Not trying to be rude, but please close your mouth, I like really, really, really don't want to see all the food in your mouth.. I mean that with all due respect. I just don't like seeing food that is in someones mouth, I know I don't have to look, but still it grosses me out. 8. When someone borrows something and doesn't return it EXAMPLE: Katherine taps on my desk, she asked, "Could I borrow one of your pencils?" And of course I say, "Sure! Just return it please!" She nods, "okay!" after that period she never returns it again or speaks to me. 9. people who listen to music or anything without headphones No, stop, I do not want to hear some sad break up song or some hard rock song with a guitar playing in the background. Stop. Use headphones..
