So... About this time, last year.. my cat left and never came back. He most likely died. His name is Vinnie (Vincent) and I know cats can't talk.. but Vinnie taught me things I could never learn from a human. I miss him everyday, but I know he's not truely gone. I like to believe (as a Christian) that he's in heaven. Before anyone attacks me for my beliefs, these are MY beliefs, I'm not asking for approval, I just wanted to keep the memory of this beautiful creature alive. I miss him. I still love and care for Vinnie, even if he isn't here with us. I miss coming home to him. I miss curling up with him. I miss hearing him purr. I miss seeing him loafing in a puzzle box. I miss him. I've known Vinnie for ages. He was a rescue, since he has cross-eyes. I miss his little face. I hope we gave him a good life, I hope he loved us back. I feel like he did. Anyway, this is Vinnie. Someone who was more than just a cat. Someone who brought me joy over and over. So, thank you, if you've even read this far. This is less of a project or a post. And more of a way to show everyone here that we lose ones we love, but they never truely leave. They shape us. They play a part in our lives. They love us as we love them. They teach us things that we can never learn from others of ourselves. And one day, we understand that. Maybe not today... or even in a year. Thank you for reading this. Thank you very much.
