"scorch turned me into a dead college student, i'm finished" -ria's nova, 2026 scratch (and my school chromebook's camera) sadly killed the quality of both pictures, so... anyway: after many months of severe demotivation art-wise, my willingness to pick up a drawing utensil and actually commit to something has returned. in the span of the past month maybe, i've taken the experimental designs for nova and rouge and made them pretty much the official ones, with some polishing. it all looks kind of strange in my new style. i've been calling the redesigned nova and rouge "newgen nova" and "newgen rouge" respectively. and i've been slandering the daylights out of the both of them, because i could have done so much with them in the past but never did. then again, nova is TECHNICALLY(?) scorch's character now, since i gave him permission to use them however he pleases for his series (otherworldly odyssey). owo is better than anything i could ever dream of making, and has been for maybe two years now, so i kind of just draw nova as a for-fun character since they used to represent me anyway. honestly, i'd have sold everything i owned to be able to draw my characters like this last year, especially in my manga phase. my own persona has been coming together nicely lately and i've been drawing acceptable-enough pictures of her (while wishing with my whole heart that one day i could be her). i'm mostly stuck on the exact hairstyle i want her to have, as well as the outfit. i'll admit, my fashion sense is weird. so um, yeah! this is just some stuff i drew. i guess(?) it's halfway impressive in my own opinion as opposed to my art from previous years and earlier this year. maybe i'll start drawing more? feedback and/or criticism would be deeply appreciated, just don't be mean or an idiot i guess note: the blacked-out areas have swears. don't bother seeing inside the project and deleting them, i used bitmap to ensure they don't get moved and i don't consequently get my project taken down by some genius with nothing better to do :3
