Posted on 10/2/2026 The secret is... this song is in 5/8! (You do not need to read the rest of this if you know what a time signature is) That may not sound like a big seret to you, but it is to me! I have never made a song that is in 5/8 and sounds so smooth. If you do not know what 5/8 is, it is a time signature. Time signatures are a notation telling me how to count the song. A 4/4 time signature is telling me to have four beats to a measure and each beat is a quarter note. A 5/8 time signature tells me to have five beats to a measure and each beat is an eighth note. Time signatures like 5/8, 7/4, and 13/8 usually sound funky and different.
