A chilly breeze crept into the cozy den as the rain fell harder and darker clouds moved in across the greying sky. Well, this sucks, he thought grumpily. Today he and his littermates were given the privilege of exploring the camp outside of the nursery for the first time. So of course it had to rain and ruin the opportunity. He had expected something like this to happen, having felt his whiskers twitch knowingly a day ago. But it was still disappointing. "Oh well," he muttered, "Maybe tomorrow."
