Part one (READ FIRST): https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1383473585 The Architect smiled as he looked down the barrel of Ivan's pistol. Ivan stood, confused as to why he was smiling. He seemed very calm, which worried Ivan the most. What did he know that he did not? "Oh, Ivan," The Architect finally says. "You wouldn't." "With all due respect, Gren Moldor, this was bound to happen. A state that favors a minority of its citizens is bound to fall apart." "Don't use my name! Have you no honor?" "YOU have no honor! The Greens all lied to us, said unity was the way forward. I had hoped that, after milenia of conflict, we could finally coexist under one banner. But unity could never last. So you will fall here, and the state with you. Any last words?" The Architect stood there, a neutral expression on his face. Then laughed. And kept laughing. "Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, Ivan, you are so naïve. You really think," he said, as he walked towards Ivan, "You can just waltz in here and threaten to sh00t me? Ha ha ha ha ha!" "I...well, I wasn't really-" "Have you ever noticed I never come armed when I meet with you?" Ivan stood there, thinking. Toy Soldiers had a tradition, starting in medieval times, where leaders would bring their best weapons to meetings to other leaders to impress and intimidate them. King Jean-Pierre of Backroomia was said to have brought 50 swords in the summit of 1817 to impress the other heads of state, which eventually led to Wallia's ascension to power. High Command, Pierre, and Ivan would all bring their cool p1stols and stuff to meetings out of tradition, but now that Ivan was thinking about it, any time the Architect was alone with Ivan, he never carried his usual pistol. Or anything, really. The Architect noticed this revelation. "Yes, that is not out of pure coincidence." Suddenly, he grabbed the pistol right out of Ivan's hand. He smacked Ivan's hand with a rather pointy end of it and handed it back to him. "Gah! You-" "Oh shut up general. This is the fun part!" Ivan looked confused. "Are you mad? You just hit me! And gave me my pistol ba-" Ivan looked at his hand. Something wasn't right about it. It looked as though where the pistol hit him...cracked...his plastic skin. But underneath...nothing could have ever prepared him for that... part 3 soon! jk. It was... green. Green plastic underneath his red. "I...what? I'm a-" "Ah yes, Ivan, or should I say, Gilded Rose #124, you are technically a Green. But just in color, apparently." "...is Pierre-?" "No, he's actually a Tan. This is only for the Reds." The Architect then took out a small device. "Activating Protocol: Scarlet Awakening," he said into the small square, as he walked in circles around Ivan. "What in the name of the Polyworks is 'Scarlet Awakening?'" "Oh, just a small project of ours. See, when the UCP was founded, we knew we could not trust the Reds at all. For the Tans we could use conventional propaganda and surveillance, but the Reds? We had to come up with a...creative solution." He holds up the device, a small tablet with a countdown for the protocol. "Project Gilded Rose. The original plan was to mold Greens and then cover them with Red polysubstance. The idea was that our superior color would give them a natural loyalty to us. However, that assumption was proved wrong. A shame." Ivan was horrified. "You EXPERIMENTED on my people? You're sick!" The Architect ignored him. "So, we came up with a new idea." The countdown was at 1:00. "We implanted the next batch, still Greens covered in red, with a experimental microchip. The Scientific Corp was wholly unaware what its purpose was for, however Lt. Gen. Hedge oversaw the production of the chips before he was moved to PAST." 0:45. "It stays inactive in your brain until, in the event of a supposed rebellion, or something like this situation here, we can activate it." Ivan was disgusted. "I'll expose you! All of you!" He raised his pistol once more." The Architect looked amused. "Go ahead. Just try. Your chip prevents you from harming me or any of the other generals." Ivan tried with all his might, but he could not pull the trigger. "Worksdammit!" 00:25. Ivan threw his pistol to the ground and lunged at the Architect. *beep!* READY. The Architect clicked the big green button of the tablet that read 'READY.' Ivan watched in horror. Processing... MANUAL OVERRIDE? _ _ _ SUCCESS Ivan's vision suddenly blurred, his ears rang as he dropped to the floor. "AH! MY HEAD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MEEEEE!" "Relax, Ivan. All will make sense when you wake up." "AHHHHHH! You won't...get away...with...this!" Ivan's eyes rolled back into his sockets, and he passed out as the Architect stood over him, laughing. "We already have." After a few moments, Ivan stood up, a green glint in his eyes, a robotic expression on his face. The Architect smiled. "General Ivan, you are dismissed." "Yes sir!" The Architect watched him leave. He sighed. "There goes another one."
