Here is Charles! Charles is one of my lil OC's that I have thought of, inspired by the youtuber, Numpty Pootis, after his idea of Percy having a tender for long distances. Normally these were for Caledonian Railway Caley pugs, and Charles is based of a real tender for them, but, he had a sad story at the end.----LORE ↓------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Charles, was converted to a tender in 1902. He was given to No. 627 (later LMS 16027) Although she preferred to be called, Isla. Isla and Charles were good friends, they had the type of relationship that Toby and Henrietta have. A inseparable couple. Although, when more stronger and reliable shunters came around (like the Jinties) Isla and Charles were separated, Charles was put in a siding, out of the way. Isla was moved from yard to yard. Always thinking about her beloved tender. In 1961, Isla was scrapped. Meanwhile all the way in 1930, Charles had been sold to the NWR for cheap, and was given to the little green Caterpillar we know today. Charles, tries to write to Isla, always looking up at the stars at night, wondering is she's still around. Charles was given a Bell in 1942 to notify signalman and workers when Percy is going backwards.
