"Tulin, get to high ground!" Link commanded, his voice cutting through the roar of the rising storm. "Find a vantage point and wait for my mark!"Tulin didn’t hesitate. He snapped his wings open, using a swift burst of his gale magic to rocket straight up into the dark, vaulted metal rafters of the hangar bay. He vanished into the shadows of the massive gears above, completely out of the phantom’s immediate line of sight.Down on the deck, Windblight Ganon floated into the air, its single red eye locking onto Link. With a sickening metallic screech, it raised its heavy cannon arm. The miniature hurricane surrounding the phantom violently expanded, sending a volley of razor-sharp, crescent-shaped wind blades screaming across the frozen floor.Link sprinted, using the incredible agility of his fully restored body. He slid underneath the first two wind blades, the localized vacuum pressure pulling at his tunic, and took cover behind a massive, metallic cargo crate.CLANG! CLANG!The wind blades tore deep gouges into the heavy metal right above his head. Windblight Ganon began to float higher, preparing a massive, concentrated vortex beam to obliterate Link's cover.Link didn't panic. He tapped the Sheikah Slate on his arm, switching the rune interface to Magnesis. The glowing golden runes on his healed right arm lit up in tandem with the slate. He targeted a heavy, discarded iron girder lying across the hangar. With a forceful upward jerk of his hand, the massive iron bar flew into the air, caught in a glowing pink magnetic beam. Link slammed his hand down, throwing the massive metal girder directly at Windblight Ganon. The phantom easily deflected the girder with its cannon arm, but the heavy impact forced its single red eye to blink, completely breaking its focus on the vortex beam."Now, Tulin!" Link roared. From the dark shadows of the rafters, a piercing whistle echoed. Tulin dropped from a beam, pulling the string of his Great Eagle Bow back to his cheek in a fraction of a second. Time seemed to slow as he fired a three-arrow burst, all infused with explosive energy.THWIP-THWIP-THWIP!The three bomb arrows flew true, striking Windblight Ganon directly in its glowing red lens.A spectacular, deafening explosion rocked the upper half of the phantom. The creature shrieked, a horrific sound of grinding metal and dying magic, as its levitation field collapsed. It crashed heavily onto the metal floor of the hangar, completely stunned, its single eye flickering wildly.Link leaped over the cargo crate, the Master Sword raised high, its pure white light blazing to a blinding intensity. This was the opening they needed to purge the scourge of the skies once and for all.
Link vaulted through the smoke, the Master Sword blazing with a blinding, celestial light. He brought the blade down with absolute, unwavering force, driving the divine steel straight into the glowing red eye core of Windblight Ganon. The impact was immediate and explosive. The holy energy of the blade detonated within the phantom’s Malice shell. The creature let out one final, agonizing metallic scream as a torrent of pure, blinding white light fractured its dark form from the inside out. The purple smoke and corrupted wires dissolved into harmless gray ash, scattering across the hangar floor before completely vanishing on the wind. The heavy, oppressive heat in the air broke instantly. From the center of the room, the main guidance terminal of Vah Medoh surged to life. The bleeding crimson grid vanished, replaced by a smooth, deep azure glow. Throughout the entire ship, the mechanical groaning stopped, replaced by the steady, harmonious hum of a purified machine.Tulin dropped from the rafters, landing gracefully beside Link, his eyes wide with awe. "The storm outside... it’s breaking!"Link walked over to the ancient terminal and placed the Sheikah Slate into the pedestal. The screen lit up, and a sudden rush of Gale Energy—pure, uncorrupted wind magic—surged forward. It didn't harm him; instead, it funneled into the golden Sheikah runes on his right arm, embedding the power of the sky directly into his flesh. When Link looked up, the hangar doors slowly opened, revealing the outside world. The heavy, black blizzard that had choked the Hebra region for decades was completely gone. Crisp, clear daylight broke through the clouds, illuminating the majestic snow-capped peaks below. Down in the valley, the corrupted ice surrounding the Rito Village was rapidly melting, revealing the ancient wooden spires beneath.Vah Medoh raised its massive head, spreading its mechanical wings, and let out a triumphant, resonant whistle that echoed across the entire northwest. The first Malice anchor of the dark Princess had been shattered. But as Link looked toward the center of Hyrule, his heart sank.Even with the sky cleared, the massive column of ash and crimson lightning surrounding Hyrule Castle remained terrifyingly dense. The dark Princess knew her airborne sentinel had fallen, and the storm was beginning to pulse with an angry, vengeful red.Link tightened his grip on the Master Sword, the golden runes on his arm glowing with the newly acquired wind power. They had won the skies, but three anchors remained.
