People have different identities, appearances, cultures, religions, beliefs, and opinions ... throughout history, people have been excluded, persecuted, and even murdered simply because they were considered “different.” from Emmett Till and Matthew Shepard to Brianna Ghey and the victims of the Holocaust and Christchurch mosque attacks, these are not just stories from history. they are reminders of what can happen when prejudice turns into dehumanization. This project is about awareness. A “perfect world” where everyone is forced to be the same isn't perfect at all. People deserve to be different. People deserve to disagree. People deserve to exist without being outcast. They deserve to be loved. They deserve to be cared for. They deserve to belong.
