The Runaway Chapter 15 Medusa followed Marie through the empty halls. In fact it seemed like there were no more demons. Was this a trap, would they attack before they could make it to the demon king? Something felt off. Medusa looked back at Dark Fire who was making sure no demon was behind them. "Something's wrong" Medusa said weary about the fact no demons were trying to k1ll them. "Me to, could it be the demons are escorting the king and we came at the worst time" Marie said. Medusa nodded knowing what she meant. "We should still go to the room were the demon king should be" Marie said. "This is the part were we will have a hard time" Marie added. "Were here" Marie said pulling out her key. "Get weapons on stand by" she warned. Medusa watched as the key turned and the door unlocked. "Get away from the door" Marie demanding stepping aside it herself. Medusa stepped back to the side of the door. Was there something there? medusa thought looking at the door. She knew Marie sensed something in there. Medusa's question was answered by the doors flying off of the wall, trailed by a cloud of gray smoke. after what felt like a hour the smoke d13d down. "Alright its safe to enter" Marie said entering the room. Medusa entered after, Dark Fire following her. Inside sat a figure sitting in a golden chair. "Congrats you have made it to the Kings room" It said. "Now this is the end for you" It said. "Its trying to take time to send another powerful spell at us" Marie warned. So this is the demon King Medusa thought looking at the figure. The Demon King wore a thick black cloak with chains hanging off of them from every direction. his arms were also covered in chains. His eyes were glowing a dark red. His skin looked like a demolished corpse. He had a scythe in his right arms. The Next second a small crack split into the ground, kicking up dust as it approached them, the crack growing. "Move out of the way" Marie shouted but the sound of the cracking floor almost made it sound like a whisper. Medusa quickly moved out of the way of the crack. "There's something wrong, That's one of the past demon kings, he d13d before Yan took the throne" Marie said in a shocked tone. "That's right" The Demon spoke. "I am one of the past Demon Kings, Lucky The current one brought me back to life, I will d13 again once I k7ll you or gets kill3d by you" He added. "NOW D13" The Old Demon king screamed. Suddenly a large wave of fire came rushing to the Shadow Warriors at high speed. Medusa was about to be burned to a crisp if the fire didn't stop. A wall of water suddenly rose from the floor. Behind the wall came a muffled thud. Instantly black smoke came flying past the wall, slowly blinding Medusa from the room. When the smoke finally d13d down,the Demon King was floating. Another giant Wave of Fire was about to come for them. Did Marie send the wall of water? Medusa asked herself. Marie's glance turned to Dark Fire. So it was him Medusa thought looking back at the demon. A large ball of water that came from were Dark Fire, launched itself at the Demon King. Medusa used the chance to get closer to the Demon. The wave of fire vanished from the Demon King. Marie had also ran toward the Demon. The Demon Slowly lowered itself to the ground. Medusa could now feel the humming of the weapons that cut souls in the Demon. The Demons scythe swung at Medusa who dodged it. Marie had stopped just outside of the scythes range. Medusa spotted a axe next to her. She kicked the wooden handle up into the air and caught it. The Demon was preparing another swing. But Medusa was already swinging the Axe. She was gona hit the Demon. (+)
