Arrows Keys / W A S D - [To Move] Click - [To Break Blocks] R - [To Show Chunk Borders] ... It can run on Scratch, but Turbowarp is recommended: turbowarp.org/1384155008 (WARNING: Do NOT suddenly decrease the pixel size to 1 on Scratch, you WILL (most likely) lag badly or even crash.) ------- If you find any bugged/corrupted seeds, please share them.
100% By @-Turbowarp | 3433 Blocks | --------------------------------------------------------- "What is "Structure Border Generation?" So when you generate a structure, you might think you'd wait until a certain block appears on your screen. Usually one that's picked by "random" based on a certain chance, then generate the whole structure around that block. The thing is, that won't work in a game like Minecraft. Which uses chunk generation (everything isn't pre-generated, the world generates as you discover new land). The reason being, structures can overlap onto other chunks.. Here's the exact problem; if you generate a chunk where the structure overlapped in, that overlapped structure part wouldn't be generated. This makes things like dungeons basically impossible to make. --------------------- After a lot of thought on ways to cleanly fix this issue. I've decided to go with the one I thought of when I first discovered this issue. "Check the other chunks" It may sound easy, but we want it to be fast, by iterating as little as possible (since we gotta run it per EVERY chunk). On top of that, it gets worse with bigger structures like dungeons which I WON'T be explaining since I've already written a lot... Here's the fix for structures that fit in a chunk: So you wanna scan the chunks that a structure could overlap into the chunk, remove the ones that aren't using a distance formula. Then draw the structures whose parts overlapped from other chunks using a rectangle/square. So uh, yeah. That's how you do it.
