Chapter 2 Logan strolled down to the area where the girls sat, met by several pairs of adoring eyes. He was trying to find one girl in particular, who seemed to not be there? His eyebrows slightly creased and he turned away. Where was Theresa? Earlier that day, he was sitting with the boys group, chatting, when Shaun started shipping him with some girls. "Ooh, how about Amber? Lomber! Haha, how's that?" Shaun said. No one noticed that Will's cheeks started blushing. Logan frowned. "Why her?" "Well then, Theresa the quiet girl! I dare you to go up to her and ask her out!" There was a chorus of laughter. But this was the moment that Logan had been waiting for. Shaun had finally shipped him with his crush, Theresa. So Logan was walking through the lunch area, and found Theresa sitting alone, eating and looking sad. She looked up from her lunchbox and stared at him. He smiled at her and sat across from her. "Hi Theresa! How are you?" He asked. "I'm fine, why are you asking me?" "Umm, well, I wanted to admit something. I-uh like you." She flushed and recoiled. "Me?! Is this just some dumb joke to embarrass a girl crushing on you? You chose the wrong girl then!" Theresa closed her lunchbox, shoved it in her bag, and walked off angrily. Eliza was walking to class one afternoon. She was walking down the corridor towards the classroom, when Jake turned round the corner. Her stomach suddenly started aching. She tried not to grimace at the pain, and she gave him a sad smile. Jake opened up his arms to throw around her, then he paused and withdrew them. "Hey Eliza, feeling better?" "Uhh, to be honest, not really. I'm just not feeling good at the moment." she replied. Jake tried one last time. "Are you sure a hug, or anything else that I could provide you wouldn't help?" "I don't think so. Thanks anyway." she mumbled. Jake gave her another smile and walked off. Eliza sighed. That was the fourth time in a row that her stomach started twisting when she interacted with Jake. But throughout the lesson, she kept thinking about him and wondered why she had never noticed how handsome he looked. Her heart lurched. Did she like Jake? Her friend since Kindy? Wasn't he just a friend? A good friend? Or perhaps more than a friend? Maybe... Will sat down in Geography class. It had never been his favourite. He sighed. His teacher didn't exactly help the matter, either. But again, it was Friday, he just had to endure a few more hours of boredom before he could chill. He looked forward to find Amber sitting down in front of him. He smiled internally. She was so kind, athletic, caring, and just pretty as well. She always moved with confidence and grace, and had a beaming optomistic smile. He looked at her honey-blonde hair. So perfect, he thought. Then again, so was everything else about her. He nearly jumped out of his seat when she turned around to face him. But she was raising her eyebrows in emphasis and looking out of her peripheral vision towards the teacher. He looked there now. "Will! Wi-ill! Earth to Wi-ill! Zoned out, were you? Pay attention next time I call the roll! Now take out your books." Will obeyed, and he cringed on the inside. He had stopped paying attention, looking at Amber in class, and she had seen, would she think he was wierd? After the lesson, he got up out of his chair, and walked out of the classroom. He picked up his bag, and walked left to his next class. Amber was going the opposite was through the tight corridor, she smiled before they were near, and their arms brushed against each other. Will felt an unusual tingling feeling in his arm and he shivered. He glanced back, and then he knew he was in love.
