Press button to close/open door. Experimental Ion Reactor is being renamed to Null Island Research Base (NIRB). This is the entrance to one of the emergency shelters. This door is the access to the shelter tunnel, there's a staircase down from there and another tunnel to get the the large seal at the entrance to the rest of the shelter.
Fun fact: Safety Shelter doors can be opened without a keycard from either side, as long as the time of opening and closing the door * 2 is not less than the time until an event that could harm personnel inside the shelter if the door is opened.
