Press spaceeee - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This afternoon after I'd finished up my daily routine of barn chores and training the horses that were scheduleled for today, I had some extra time on my hands. Recently, one of my stallions turned 5 years old, Captain, or as I sometimes call him Capi. I've had him since he was 6 months old, but I haven't had much time to work with after breaking him several months back (I never did updates for this, because I'm lazy :P). WVS has been under renovations for awhile now, and one of the additions to the property is a small arena down by the waterfront, tucked away from the rest. Since it tends to be quiet down there, I tacked Captain up and did a schooling session with him where he would be less distracted. I warmed him up by walking him around the arena a few times then trotting for a bit. Capi has really smooth paces, and I'm hoping to train him to be an Eventer. After getting a feel to him since I haven't ridden him in awhile, I trotted and then cantered him over a small cross-rail I'd set up earlier. He refused the first time, but on the second try he went over. I did this again with him a few more times, and he over jumped most of the times. XD I look forward to see more of that he can do in the future.
