Hey guys, it's been a while since I have done anything here, so I just wanted to say hello again. As you probably know, I have been very inactive lately due to lack of motivation. I actually really like coding something here, but for some reason I still felt absolutely unmotivated. While not *the* main reason for this lack of motivation, the current state of Scratch did play a role in this. Although at least the hackers are gone, or at least from what I know, as I said I was pretty inactive, the website still..."sucks", at least compared to when I joined almost 6 years ago. COVID Scratch was peak, although my "fame" came later. But followers isn't what Scratch is about (tho it's still quite nice to have achieved something like that, I can't lie). With trending, top loved and top remixed gone, there's practically no way of getting people to see your projects anymore, except for getting featured, which is really rare to happen. Don't get me wrong, I don't want the views, I just want people to see what I'm doing because why else would I be doing it in the first place? (except for myself .___.) Scratch recently (a couple months ago) got a new CEO and I hoped for things to get better, but so far....nothing has changed (I think). They did announce 4.0 earlier, and also the NGP, which I just recently found out about. The latter actually also is the reason why I regained motivation for this platform in the first place (which also led to me writing this). While only a small spark of hope, NGP could make things better. Or worse. We'll see. Although I think it can't get worse. Here's what I hope will get fixed: - Profile comments not loading - New projects not being able to be found via "Search" - Trending - Front page (top loved + remixed) - And many more things I can't think of right now What I DON'T hope for (but what is very realistic) is that the moderation will get even MORE strict with the new platform. It already feels like 1984 here. Because I wanted to use this small motiviation-boost, I actually started to make a game again (:o). I won't say more about it than that it will only be a small one and autumn-themed. I will wait with "bigger" games until NGP, so that I can advertise them better. If I will ever make those games again. I also think that NGP is the last hope for Scratch, if it won't be good, I will probably slowly start fading from the website (again) until I have quit. I actually didn't want to do so until I reached 2k... that's also a good moment to thank all my followers :) Also I feel like I'm getting too old for this. Almost everyone on this website is quite a bit younger... Whatever, we'll see what will happen Bye (I miss the old times with all the people that quit, the ones I knew and the ones I didn't know)
