The Ruined Land Chapter 13 The next Morning Medusa woke up on the cold floor of the Demon Liar. They had survived there first night at least. Dark Fire and Marie were already up Maries Lantern lighting the room, that had one window that was barred and barbs all over the window. The Rain was still falling, the sound of the rain slamming onto the roof of the Liar. Medusa sat up ready to get ready to fight. The Window didn't do much work because of the fact that either the rain clouds covered the sun. Marie's Lantern did most of the work of lighting up the room. Marie had brought more than one lantern Handing one to Medusa and Dark Fire. Both Medusa and Dark Fire's candles inside the lantern were lit by the candle in Marie's. unclipped her Crossbow to get ready. Placing an arrow into the crossbow Medusa walked to the rusted Metal steps where the next door to the next room was. Marie was the one to walk up to the door. "Weapons ready" Marie demanded pulling out her key. Marie unlocked the door hiding behind it, sliding her Lantern into the room. "Clear" Marie said coming out from behind the door and into the room. Both Medusa and Dark Fire followed into the room. The room was like the other room they were just in, this time no windows. The red square shapes of the rocks used to build it ,revealed by the Lanterns. Marie led them to a rusted metal door. "The sound of us opening it will give us away, so prepare to fight" Marie warned unlocking the door. Marie then grabbed her crossbow aiming for the door before Kicking it open. The door creaked as is swung open. Dark Fire whos longbow was aiming at the gruond was now raised at the open door. Medusa decided to aim at the same spot. "Ill go check out the sound" A voice said as footsteps approached The Shadow Warriors. As a Demon came discovering them it opened its mouth to alert the other demons. Marie fired her crossbow before a word could leave the demon's mouth. The Arrow sank straight into the demon's heart. As the demon fell to the ground Marie ripped the Arrow from the demon before putting it back into her weapon. "We probably have a fight about to happen" Marie warned as the demon hit the ground with a thud. "Yeah I know why else would he say he was gona check it out" Dark Fire said. Medusa waited as what sounded like a stampede came into the room. As the first demons came into sight all 3 Shadow Warriors Fired there Weapons before quickly reloading them. Lucky every arrow took out a demon. Marie signed for Dark Fire and Medusa to back up. Both Medusa and Dark Fire obeyed Backing up further into the room Marie Backing up as well. Medusa counted the demons that were there, she lost count at 12 when she had to fire. Dark Fire's longbow was the quickest to reload Medusa noticed as he had shot more arrows. In the time it took Marie and Medusa to reload Dark Fire had reloaded 3 and fired them. Medusa fired another arrow at a demon coming towards the room. The Arrow hit the demon in the throat. The Demon falls right after getting hit. Medusa watched Marie fire her arrow. Dark Fire had loaded 4 into the bow at once, all hitting a demon. The amount of Demons had gone down very quickly. Now Medusa could only count 6 that were still moving. Dark Fire had Fired 3 more arrows successfully hitting a demon with each shot. Marie's next shot hit the demon but it pulled out the arrow and came for them. Medusa fired the arrow quickly the arrow sinking into the Demon abdomen. The Demon immediately staggered back before falling to the floor. Now there were only 2 more Demons left coming to try and k1ll them. Medusa Loading another Arrow aimed for the Demons throat, for the shot to be taken by Dark Fire hitting right where Medusa was aiming. Marie took out the last demon. "Good work but there might be an ambush waiting for us to exit" Marie warned pulling out a mirror. Marie moved the mirror around clearly using it to check for demons in the room. "Ok the room is clear, Let's grab our Arrows" Marie said entering the room. Medusa entered the room Dark Fire Behind her. The room had 2 metal doors that had rusted like the other doors Medusa had already seen. There was shattered glass leading to the outside, clearly a main entrance. There was a window next to the one of the doors showing a room with a metal wall that looked like it opened. (+)
