I have this one 'friend' at school, right. Usually I just hang out with her. But now she's been cutting into my social life. It all started last year when we were on a school trip to the zoo. I was sitting on my bus seat, and she just elbowed me out of the way to talk to the people I was talking to- two of my BEST FRIENDS, MIND YOU. That's how that started. It's been getting gradually worse over the past year. She started taking credit for my ideas. Making snide comments about me- directly next to me at lunch. It gets worse. She told me a few days ago that she was talking about me behind my back. OH AND THEN SHE STARTED DOING THIS: I'm trying to have a conversation with one of my friends. SHE BUTTS IN- BEING RUDE TO ME- and takes over the conversation. her entire personality: I'm the most important person here! We've asked her over and over again to back off, give us some space, leave us alone- she. doesn't. listen. So i'm considering doing something very not-me. I'm considering yelling at her, something i've never done to her specifically. the other day at recess: it was a dare, and she was told to insult me the best she could: so she said, "At least my dad isn't in prison". everyone went quiet. I started laughing uncontrollably- and now everytime someone brings it up to her, she says it's my fault. MY FAULT. what the heck?! WHY AM I THE VILLAIN HERE? so because of her, I lie to my mother everytime I get in the car- 'How was your day?' "Oh, it was great!' excuse me. am I just that good a liar you can't see i'm trying not to cry.
