hehehe. I love these two!! X3X3X3X3 Name: Lost Gender: He.him Age: 17ish (human years) Lore/Backstory: Lost is the "act first question later" type of guy. you could tell him that this thing will do this thing, and he would have to try it out himself to see if your right. and that is how he lost his eyesight. Lost was about the age of 5 when he went blind. he was camping up in the mountains when he was told not to play with fire, as it burns. Lost thought "really? lets see." so he grabbed a stick of a branch and when his parents wasn't looking, stuck it into the hot coals till the stick caught on fire and Lost touched the flame. it did infact burn his paw and he threw the stick into the forest. (yeah. I think you can see where this going) one thing lead to another after the stick was thrown into the forest and eventually started a forest fire. Lost stared at the fire in horror at what he had caused. as he and his family were fleeing, the fire burned Losts' eyes. making him go blind. Lost hated that he couldn't see but managed to get by. Lost still stayed ambitious and bold despite his disability, refusing to let it get the best of him. he would get familiar to a place like school or use sounds and the feeling of the floor to help navigate new areas, tho true to his name, Lost somehow always managed to get lost. one day, his family moved and he had to transfer to a new school. Lost hadn't familiarized himself with the new school and to his misfortune, it was an old fashioned school with twisting hallways and dead ends. this, is where he met Fond.
Name: Fond Gender: she.her Age: 15-16ish (human years) Lore/backstory: Fond has always been deaf. has been her whole life. to some, that would be seen as a curse. not being able to hear the world. Fond saw it as a blessing, not being able to hear her parents fighting. Fond is shy and sweet and always looking to help others. to the best of her ability. Fond is a worry wart tho. shes always assuming the worst will happen and what would happen if she isn't prepared. Fond had been in a forest when a fire suddenly broke out. (wink wink ;]) since shes deaf, she didn't hear the fire or evacuation calls. she had only smelt the smoke, and by then the fire was nearly at her feet. she was able to escape the fire unharmed, tho Fond since has had this fear that she won't be able to hear another emergency and has panic attacks about it. Fond was walking to her class one day when she sees Lost absolutely confused on where he is. Fond approaches him and slowly says while mixing her words (fun fact, deaf people can't hear what they are saying so they end up mixing or say words completely wrong.) if he needs any help. Lost gets startled but after realizing, admits that he's blind and has no clue where he is or where his class even is. Fond manages to read his lips, expains that she's deaf, and ends up helping him around. they end up being pretty close friends. Lost and Fond set up this communication system of tapping (Morse code!!!) to communicate with each other. now that Fond has a friend that can hear and can communicate with her, she's less worried about emergency situations. now she mainly is worried about stopping Lost from running INTO danger and (to Losts disgruntle) tending to him when he does get hurt. I wanted Lost to have a reason why he's blind while Fond is born being Deaf. and I had to make their personalities opposite as well and I'm honestly glad I did. Lost is the dare devil and Fond is the worry wort and it couldn't have worked more perfectly!!
