The newest iteration of NAGASA's Tornado Chaser Vehicle series, The TCV3. Unlike its older siblings, 3 uses a flap system pretty much like tiv 2's so that has high ground clearance so it wont get stuck on muddy surface like how TCV1 and 2 got stuck after intercepts. TCV3 is built on a custom chassis in a 6x4 drivetrain and 10 heavy duty tires that can support its own weight of 16,714 lbs. Its engine produce 650 horsepower that gives it a versatile top speed of 105 mph. (168 kmh) For its armor, its core frame is made out of 2 inch square aylenium for its frame. While its outer armor is a sandwich of more aylenium, kevlar, polycarbonate, and rubber. (Aylenium is my fictional material that have a equivalent strength of a tungsten and the same mass as steel.) TCV3 has a whole armada of instruments. A mesonet with built in communications systems .TCV3 also used to have a turret. But after a major research project of NAGASA ended, it switched to a bubble with a ptz camera that can produce the same cinema grade level footage since larger turrets act as a sail that disrupt its aerodynamic flow. It has 4 gullwing doors that also protects crew from hail. It can fit a crew of 6 people inside. The driver, navigator, 3 scientist (The lead, assistant, and researcher) and a technician. TCV3 can deploy its SDP probe (Self Deploying Probe) on the right side so that no one in a crew needs to get down of the vehicle. It also has a optional rocket probe addon that will be installed depending on the mission. When not in use, the rocket probe's platform is usually covered. Finally, TCV3 have 2 side flaps, 1 front flap, and a staggering total of 14 spikes. That gives it a powerful threshold of 301 mph. Enough to survive a low end ef5.
(ps: you can criticize or give a feedback on how to improve this thing, im still a larp in storm chasing
