this is specifically directed to christians that outwardly dislilke the lgbtq+ community but I do acknowledge that there are many types of unsupportive people out there. although the term is homophobia, ( phobia - to fear OR dislike !! ) i have seen many get angry over being called this term which to be honest is uh. not great please, PLEASE do not start arguments in the comments. I had a project like this a couple months ago and it did end in a couple arguments and I hope that won't start up again oh and this is mainly about homosexuality bc I feel like trans / aro and ace hate should be their own rants ok so uh this is a genuine question but I don't really understand why liking the same gender as yourself is "wrong" Gender is truly to be honest a made up concept but I'm not gonna get into that I really don't understand where in any religious work did God tell you to outwardly hate on those who love another? I do know there is a line in the Bible similar to "a man must not b3d w. 1th a boy" and that it's sorta up to interperation ( ? ) [ I'm not religious myself please bare with me ] but doesn't this just say that. adults should not love ( in a freaky way ) children? like that pdfs are... bad? see if the phrase is " one person fell in love with another " there's no hate because it's love, as long as it isn't tox1c and harmful, and they truly enjoy spending time with each other. I don't see what's wrong here. So, what's wrong with "a man fell in love with another man" ? Don't pull the biology card please. There are many many examples ( penguins, giraffes, cats, etc ) of homosexual animals. Same with trans too ( fish, frogs, etc. ) [ but again, another rant for another time ] I'm genuinely curious what is seen as "wrong" or "sinful" here. Or more "wrong" or "sinful" than any heterosexual relationship And yes this is not directed to all christians. I have many supporting christian friends and multiple gay ones too. My queerplatonic crush is christian as well. I understand that everyone follows and believes differently in Christianity But I'm just wondering for a general idea here. Please do not get mad, yell, or argue in the comments. I'm not in a good mood to break up fights. I genuinely want to just have calmish conversations here. feel free to discuss and debate but no fighting pls
