Floating up In the sky Whispering secrets Below As the sun rises The light streams through And casts an unearthly Glow And it flies over land and sea As it darkens ever more And with a fatal crack it splits open With a roar And water Water Water That was held in for so long No one saw it Silently waiting But out it pours Drenching Sopping Lightning bangs the sky open Thunder conceals the sun And people run From the water falling down But if it drizzles If it hadn't held in the onslaught For so long Afraid that people will see It wouldn't burst It would leak But never burst With only a tiny bit Of water falling down Plants grow We flourish But under the bleeding skies When fire and ice collide Can you see through? Once it is over the cloud is peaceful white No one sees No one remembers All they see is the gray cloud Bursting Pain and light The water that it couldn't conceal It is real.
