CHAPTER 6 It was a tornado. "What in the world!?" Jack exclaimed. he slapped himself across the face, thinking this was another dream. But it wasn't. Questions flew through his mind like a jet. "Why didn't the train stop?" "How was this not a myth?" "AM I GOING TO MAKE IT?" But there was no time for answers. The tornado was getting closer. He tried to run, but couldn't see through the flying dust. He got hit by what felt like a million glass shards. The pain was like being hit with a million tiny daggers. As the tornado got closer and closer, its range got closer and closer, until... "Unhhhh..." He closed his eyes, and fell to the floor... What was he thinking? He couldn’t stop now! He dove into a car and fastened his seatbelt. But he didn’t know that a car is the worst place to be during a tornado! Before he could take back his decision, the car flew up into the air! Glass from the windows flew into his skin, and Jack thought it was all over for him.
CHAPTER 7 He almost flew out the window, but something grabbed him. Dad!? He must have jumped in after him! Dad managed to pull him back in the car, but it took all his strength. He fell flat on the car floor. "Dad? DAD???" Jack screamed. He didn't answer. Then... Dad flew out the window... almost. By a stroke of luck, his shirt collar caught onto the side of the window, giving Jack just enough time to grab onto dad's arm. Jack held on so tight he felt as if his arm was going to fall off. But it stayed on. Jack barely noticed the pain of the glass. All he was focused on was not letting go of dad, and his fear. His fear was what helped him hold on. His fear that dad would get sucked up into the tornado, lost forever like mom, just made him hold on tighter. Finally, his grip almost gave in, but he kept pulling, untill... *yoink!* He pulled dad in all the way into the car, and smacked his head on the side of the door. "Uhhh..." Then... everything went black.
