Hello! Just a quick little story for ya :) - Rain. It always falls at the worst times. Its like a thousand little drops of water thought, "Ho ho! She looks like she's having a bad day, lets drench her and see if that helps!" it doesn't. just trust me, it doesn't. My curls that i had tried so hard to straighten today with my iron were quickly springing back into their coils as they soaked up to morning rain. but really, it didn't matter as i looked into his eyes, praying it wasn't for the last time. He wrapped his arms around me, and we hugged, the rain still dripping down our faces. i didn't cry, crying makes me uncomfortable. but i was sure as heck not very happy. Percy whispered into my ear as we stood there, not wanting to let each other go. 'Its ok, Mei. you know i love you. i will be back. College is just a temporary thing." I laughed in spite of myself. "Sure, if four years is temporary to you." He winked, and we stood there in silence. Percy was never one to talk much, but that's why i loved him. then, an alarm buzzed on his phone. "I... i have to go now Mei. time waits for no one, you know." "I know. i just... I love you Percy. don't forget to call me." "Everyday," and he smiled gently. With that, he kissed me on the head, got into his tiny, beat up car, and drove off. I stood there, watching him leave, until the rain pattered to a stop. -- "Wow so Percy's away at college! Seems like he's doing great!" "On the coast, that's a mighty far drive from here." "I bet you miss him don't you? "Have you seen what he's been posting on his socials? "Who are those girls he's with?" "I'm sure its nothing to worry about." "He called me yesterday, He's decide to become a doctor!" "8 more years of college, very ambitious!" "He didn't tell you about this?" "He seems to be a very popular fellow!" "When was the last time you talked to each other?" "He missed your birthday?" "Mei, Percy's calling." "Why is she crying?" "Whose voice is that in the background..." "Its over..."
