_~* Doubloon Update *~_ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Update ~ I went out to Doubloons pasture to get her for our first ride together. Doubloon was happy to see me, but unhappy to leave her pasture. I walked down to where she was standing with Whisper, and attempted to put the halter on, but was turned down when Doubloon walked away. I narrowed my eyes and walked back down to her, this time in a more sneaky matter, and slipped it on successfully. She was NOT happy when she was defeated, but followed me down to the barn since there where other horses watching. When I clipped her into the cross ties, she simply threw her head up as high as the cross ties would allow, and stomped her hoof to show me how she felt about this. I'm glad she likes our barn enough to show off her personality, but I'm also not super excited to have a newer version of Ivory. I went to pick out her hoofs, only to find she wouldn't lift them. I looked back at her and forcefully lifted it up and cleaned it. She watched me Skeptically, as if I was being interviewed, and at this point, I might be. The rest of the prepping process went great. I carefully put on her tack, making sure it was comfy, before grabbing the bridle. She tossed her head some ways, showing me disapproval. I simply continued on with my doing, but not attempting to put it on yet. She relaxed slightly, and I went to put it on. Now, I will say, it was easier than I expected to get it in, but it wasn't done without some nudging. After the bridle was on I led her out to the arena. She seemed okay with was was happening, but changed her mind when I hopped on her. She snorted, and walked for less than a second before stopping. I nudged her on, and we headed for the rail. Since Doubloon hasn't had a human on her back since she came here, she was slightly skeptical, and needed me to have a clear expectation for her. we walked a couple laps before trotting, since Doubloon specializes in Reining, it was a nice collected trot. I wanted to Canter so bad right there and then, but I remembered where we were at. [ the rest of the ride went great, I'm just tired of writing, lol ] ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Why do Update's that are actually cool to watch, so hard to make...?!?!?!?!?!
