Wren's POV __________ The river always makes me think of her. I’m not sure why. I think it’s the blue-ish hue that it carries. The water’s always cold, and if you go into the middle of it, it goes up to your knees. It has a rather rough sound, rougher than you might expect a river to be. It feels like being around her. Not in a bad way, in fact the feeling’s nice I think. It just feels like her presence. I always go here when her guardian has her away so that I don’t have to think. I’ve noticed that the water tends to still sometimes, though the intervals at which it goes quiet tends to change. I tend to count how many times it does within a certain time frame on my fingers to pass the time. Today it was 6 times in 10 minutes. — You observe people a lot more than you think you would when there aren’t really things you enjoy. For example, I’ve memorized almost everything she seems to like. I don’t tend to do much with that knowledge, but I know it by heart. I also know how smiles when she finds something funny or amusing versus when she’s simply pleased with something. I also have footsteps memorized. I can tell who’s coming up from behind me just from the smallest sound their feet make against the ground. I know more about other people than I do about myself. Like I couldn’t even tell you what my favorite color is. Or anything I associate with myself. Or my favorite subject they teach. …it’s rather unpleasant to try and figure it out anyway. I don’t have to try and figure it out when I’m with her at least. Or by the river. They don’t make it necessary for me to try. I can just observe them and neither will ask me anything about it. It’s… Enjoyable I believe. It feels strange to use that word. — I think they underestimate her. She gets a lot less advertisements and photoshoots than the rest of us. I don’t even think she gets a lot of training from her guardian besides the mandatory ones that happen during session weeks. ‘Bias’ is what it’s called I believe. They’re ‘biased’ for her sister. I’ve seen her sister around in the park sometimes. I think her name was ‘Panta’ or something like that. Her sister is really popular. The way I see her look at her sister is weird. Her expression looks complicated. I can’t even really describe it. — Sometimes I see her watch old rounds from a winner named ‘Eve’ on that little panel. I’ve noticed she acts a lot like he does when she's in the mock-competitions the stars have us do. She’s really interesting to watch- especially during mock-competitions. She’s a lot more talented than the stars notice. She seems to learn really quickly. I’ve always been a bit curious about how fast she catches onto things. — I learned recently that one of us could end up dying in the future. I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure that if either of us dies, it’s not gonna be her. — My head hurts really bad, and my ears are ringing. It sounds like somebody struck a metal pipe. My whole body feels weak because of it. I’m not really sure what the point of it is anyways. I think the training they do isn’t really efficient, and it’s really unpleasant, but the headache doesn’t feel as bad as it did the first time, it’s gotten easier to ignore. And at least I don’t have to think that much when it hurts that bad.
Song - pointless by d2s1 ___ "Her" is typically referring to Striker :p Yes a lot of this is about Striker- I mainly wanted to focus on how Wren views Striker and sorta also how Wren views herself in comparison(that part is really vague but ye)
