Inspired by farmer's wear and with the use of bright and vibrant colors to stand out, Katniss' redesign has been born! With a bit of a stronger silhouette than she had previously, she looks a LOT more interesting. Finally, we can see her father's sword in her design, which I've wanted to do for so long now. She also looks more timid than confident or angry, as she may be a hero, but she's not-not afraid of the thing she's hunting - The Stalker (who may be getting a slight change in design.
The Process: Katniss' redesign was a bit of a chore. I wasn't sure of what to do with her, since she's one of my few female characters, so I wanted her to look feminine, but not too much. Also, because of that attempt to make her look feminine, I was kinda scared to get flamed for it. Eventually, I dropped the feminine idea, and went to my newer style to try it out. I really like sunhats, and it fit her, especially since she works on a farm out in The Grove with everyone else.
