Divide et Impera: The Bronze Age Collapse is a game set in the Bronze Age. Your goal is to survive and grow into a great empire—or be consumed by the invasions and raids of your enemies. First, select a country. To declare war, simply click on a city that isn't yours and select "Declare War"; you will then enter into a war with them. To raise an army, go to one of your cities and click the "Recruit General" button. To move the army, simply click on the army and then click where you want to move it. To recruit new troops, hover your mouse over your army and press the spacebar; a panel of units available for purchase will appear. You can also recruit mercenaries. To improve your economy, invade cities or construct buildings in your cities by clicking on them or managing taxes. There are only three pharaohs—or great kings—in the world: one in Egypt, another in Anatolia, and a third in the Levant. They profit from their positions, but many countries may attempt to wrest the throne from them and become the new pharaoh; you, too, can join the ranks of the pretenders and lay claim to the throne! In battle, both you and the enemy have a morale level; if it drops below 20 or 30, you will begin to retreat. To move units, simply click on them and then on the destination. During sieges, one of your units will carry a siege tower; move them to the wall, and they will set it up automatically. Archers fire automatically at whatever they are facing, without needing an order. Finally, there is a bar indicating prosperity, crisis, or collapse; this bar provides bonuses based on its current level, and if it drops to "collapse," the Bronze Age is already crumbling. It will decrease each turn, making the game more difficult.
