To celebrate the 5 years of AspectOS, now called aOS, I have decided to jump back on developing it for the third time. Previously, I had stated that in 2024, aOS would be coming back with a new version. However, that didn't end up happening and it got cancelled. However this time, aOS is back with a brand new naming system, a brand new design, and more. Inspired by Windows and macOS, I introduced aOS Mercury, the first version of aOS, separate from AspectOS. Mercury is expected to release soon, with way more features than previously released/planned projects. Instead of solo development, team development is returning as well, with everybody contributing to at least something to aOS to make sure that it looks its best, it runs its best, and that its presentable to viewers on Scratch. This is expected to be aOS' biggest version yet, with a ton of new apps, a revamped UI, new programmers/artists, and more, returning programmers/artists, and more. More details will be released later this month. The aOS forum thread will reopen late September 2026 for new members wanting to join the aOS team! This is a remix version, approved by @AIGamesDeveloper, to promote the aOS Mercury account.
