SYNOPSIS The House and Senate have met today to discuss and vote on President Petroni’s request to declare war on the Red Line of Karakia, Vanguard Front Karakia, and Nationalist Unorganized Forces (hereby known as UKF), in a resolution dubbed “Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Karakian Forces Resolution of 2028.” 1ST TESTIMONY Leading congressmen were asked to declare their reasoning for voting, their answers are such: (D-HR-2-PA, Majority Whip) William H. Gray III stated that “we the felines are among the most privileged in the world, we have our stability and security to thank for that. Right now, the people of Karakia have neither; they struggle in day-to-day matters as it is, facing food and fiscal insecurity due to the mismanaged hands of their government. It is our duty to tell them, ‘the world has not forgotten about you, here we are’.” 2ND TESTIMONY (R-S-SD, Senate Majority Leader) John Thune spoke on numerous topics pertaining to a potential war in Karakia, including the commitment we have to the region in our Rheic allies, and to preventing war with the Tanakvikian Empire. 3RD TESTIMONY (D-HR-NY-14, Democratic Socialists of Vespacia senior congresswoman) Alexandria Ocasio Cortez stated, “I do not believe a war in Karakia to be beneficial to the Vespacian people, it is far away from any of our allies, it would only be putting our soldiers in harm’s way and enabling the enemies of Vespacia to deal harm to them.” CONCLUSION The Senate Majority Leader, leading his chamber in the final vote, concluded the vote to the effect of, ‘following the bicameral vote of the resolution, this congress declares war on Karakia.’
