Hi everyone! I brought my AP art sketchbook home and thought it might be fun to post my beginning-of-the-year shading and design practices. First piece is a dog head. I made this on Bristol paper and used a graphite pencil for the rough lineart and the shading. Second piece is a horse head. After doing the dog, I thought it might be fun to try doing a horse. I’m used the same materials as above. The final piece was a design practice piece I did for fun to test out some wolf hybrid anatomy. Used a Sharpie pen for the lineart, then did the dark gray fur with graphite pencil, the spikes, antlers, and anklet with colored pencils, and watercolored the light blue fur. I would appreciate any feedback / constructive criticism on these pieces! As a digital artist, keep in mind I’m not used to working with tradtional materials :)
