COMPETITION INSTRUCTIONS! READ THIS BEFORE STARTING!!! Hello and welcome to the MB9G Iceberg Competition! Thanks for participating. Here's what to do: HOW TO ENTER: Merely create a remix of this project so it is easier for me to find entries, then code and create one of the two options below! Before you start coding or designing, MAKE SURE TO CHANGE THE BROADCAST LABELLED INSIDE THE PROJECT AS INSTRUCTED - this will get the game working properly like the real Iceberg! Feel free to do a collab with other scratchers - make sure to give credit on the description, and all involved will be crowned if they win. On your description, please briefly write what your entry is. EASIER: Design one (or more!) new avatar for both penguins. Theme it on what you like, and make it as intricate or cool as you want! The hitbox system means you can do any kind of shape or make the penguin bigger and it won't hugely effect gameplay (it might a little though)! Either just design it and I will look at the costumes inside your project, or go the extra mile and change the code so it can be played as inside the game, too! HARDER: For the ultimate challenge, create an entire new game mode! You'll need to look through the code and work out how to add or replace one of the available modes, then programme it and make it different from anything else in the game! Feel free to make it use new colours or shapes of the ocean, back drop, particle effect... whatever you want! There will be extra points awarded for choosing this option. CLOSE DATE: The competition closes on October 31st; I will then spend a few days looking through and judging before announcing the winner. That person will have their idea integrated into the actual game, have credit given if and when their idea is used in game, and will have a follow from me and any other participants who feel like it! If there are lots of good entries, there might even be more than one winner! HOW TO GET THE GAME FUNCTIONING NORMALLY: I did say this earlier, but it is vitally important: now that you've chosen what you want, change this broadcast so it sends A aaa select - it's towards the top and it will get the game functioning as normal. Then, delete the 4 competition sprites. You're ready to go! HOW IT IS MARKED: 5/25 - Originality. 10/25 - How fun it is to play, or how cool it looks. 10/25 - Creativeness and coding skills. If you don't win, don't feel bad! This is meant to be a fun way to get everyone involved and having some fun - I will look at all the entries and greatly appreciate anyone who enters! If you really want, you can do m
Have a great time doing this, and good luck! To make this more fun, try to get as many people involved as possible. Thanks for making this a great event for everyone! The competition closes on October 31st. If you submit after that but before I have gotten through all the entries, you might get in!
