The Toxnoasaurus occupies a highly specialized niche in tropical oceans. Because it is completely immune to toxins, it acts as a "reef janitor." It grazes on massive, stinging jellyfish swarms and chemically toxic corals that would kill other marine reptiles. By keeping these toxic species in check, it allows healthy corals and small fish populations to thrive. Generally, the Toxnoasaurus is a peaceful, slow-moving creature. It does not actively hunt humans, boats, or large marine life. if a larger predator approaches too quickly, it enters its defensive stance. It raises its neck to its full 8-foot height to flash it neck frills. Small, immune reef fish often swim directly inside the Toxnoasaurus’s orange frills. They eat dead tissue and parasites off the slug-like hide, while the Toxnoasaurus provides them with total protection from larger predators.
