That night, When all the cheerleaders shout their player's numbers When all the players high fived the band members When all the band members passed our booth When all the people in our booth cheered Everything seemed unreal I didn't feel real in the tides of the people passing Everyone looked like they were nothing like me I felt like some sort of sickly creature compared to them It's odd when I think about it more I never really was in the situation I was always on the sidelines cheering others on I never was really seen from the audience Even though I tried to be better for them I knew it was simply too hard To comply to an audience is to throw your life away So I became the audience on the other end of the screen I watched the blue light filter into photorealistic images Each image played faster than any FPS could This TV separating my head and the world Was all that I knew and could understand That was until I walked back to my car The night sky was clear, not a star in sight The shadow of clouds were blocking them I did see the moon shining brightly Above all the cars that I passed With the great big sign I looked ahead of me for a moment The screen disappeared. That night, When the world finally became real When the realness steadied in my veins When the veins in me raced to bring me to life When the kids started racing outside the school Everything seemed real
