-------about rockets and my simulator------------------------- A rocket works by using thrust to overcome gravity and travel into space. Inside the rocket, fuel and an oxidizer are burned in the engines, creating extremely hot gases. These gases are forced out of the rocket at high speed, pushing the rocket upward. My rocket has one main stage. As it launches, the engines produce enough thrust to lift the rocket away from Earth. As it continues climbing, it travels through the atmosphere and eventually reaches space, where it can travel toward the stars. Real rockets use carefully designed guidance systems, powerful engines, and multiple stages to carry spacecraft and astronauts safely into space. My Scratch simulator demonstrates the basic idea of a rocket launch in a fun and simple way.
