remember when we used to have big dreams? maybe a singer, or a ballerina, or a princess, weren't all 'practical' dreams - but they were what we dreamt of. remember when dreams were what WE wanted? when we wanted to be doctors, or medics, or maybe an actor. things that brought us joy. things that made us happy. things that were a part of us. remember when we didn't really care what people thought of them? when we were determined to make it happen. when nothing could hold us back, when we had that passion, that courage. remember those dreams?
lots of thoughts going on. writing is therapy ~ the tiny poem below is part of an upcoming poem, and a part of this poem. its also why the theme for this photo collage is ballet. I still love it lol, even though I never did get to try it. when I was a little girl, I would twirl and twirl. I wanted to be a ballerina, so, so bad. I wanted the elegant movements, I wanted the soft pink clothes, I wanted the passion and beauty of it. that was my dream. but everyone grows up, and now... now I want to travel. I want to see the world, I want to care for wildlife, I want to help. I used to think maybe I should be a nurse. but it didn't feel right - zoology just seemed to call to me. so. for now, I'll keep dreaming. I'll keep hoping. and maybe, just maybe, one day it'll come true.
