**Ignore how incredibly academic this sounds, I've been practicing my writing skills and I just read this back it sounds overtly sophisticated but whatever lol Dear spop community, I am sure many of you had already anticipated that this was coming. I have been incredibly inactive since what? April?— I have found myself increasingly uncertain as to how best to address it; I've put this letter off for many months now. Spop, and Scratch more generally, has been a considerable part of my life since I was barely ten years old. I can't say that I regret it; there is, however, a certain point at which I must recognise that my interests have changed, and I find myself considerably less inclined towards maintaining an active presence here than I once was. I have, as some of you may already have noticed, lost my interest in k-pop. The culture no longer appeals to me as it once did, and I can't, with good conscience, continue to promote an industry which I now regard as so detrimental both to those who consume it and to those who work within it. I could elaborate upon this, but I think it's preferable not to turn this into an essay. More importantly, I have been devoting a great deal of my time to my studies. I have reached a stage in my education at which I feel it's necessary to take them with the seriousness they deserve, especially considering my large endeavours. (I have come to realise that remaining active on Scratch would require a time and energy that I can no longer spare without compromising my priorities.) I am sososo grateful for the years I have spent here, and for all the wonderful memories that I have made. I will miss this particular period of my life more than I can express in one message, but I think it is important to recognise when it is time to leave something behind. I will no longer be completing lines, with the exception of Yula's or Irene's groups, (but only if I happen to find the time to—apologies to all the companies!). I have also removed my projects, as I have become increasingly uncomfortable with having my voice actively available on the internet. To all of my friends over the years: Yula, Irene, Shuyu, Izzy, Dani, Thea, Hazel, Visha, Luna, Evie, Belle, Wonjin, Ivy, Jasmine, Elena, Jiyeon, Cat, Chanelle, Lia, Harper, Elaine, Ena, Hart, Suki, Lina, Ariana, and everyone else who has contributed, in any way, to my time here: thank you. I am so sorry if I have forgotten anyone; it has been a long time. Thank you for everything! Goodbye, for the last time. — Rubie
