I debated themes for ages before going back to the one I'd thought about way earlier. Initially, I was going to do my usual "click the object and see the next thing" app, but then I realized that this would probably work a little better if I went through and talked about my process and stuff with more of a slideshow. Less fun in terms of interactivity, but I hope you enjoy my musings and ramblings about the joy (and irritation) that is music production. This is just my process and specifically for this song, so some of this may or may not transfer super well for me! I tried to make it somewhat beginner-friendly, but I don't know for sure if I accomplished that. A lot of these terms are kind of second nature to me because I've been playing piano for so long. Conversely, I've only been doing music production for a few months (roughly six), and this was my first solo project of this scale. I usually just play piano + pads through MIDI and record rather than arrange or do all the instrumentation; this is actually one of only two projects where I did proper instrumentation. The first was Groundhog Day which was mainly to learn the process, and I did that with a LOT of help with my piano teacher! I might put it up at some point. Eventually. By the way! I have not done Logic nor music production in general justice with this, but this is my current knowledge. I hope it's helpful/interesting nonetheless! (Mark my words, no one will be surprised that I have a THIRD music-inspired application. It's okay. The last one was from a year ago.) ~ Credits: Thank you to... • Coldplay for the song "Clocks" (I've always wanted to learn it on piano!) • My piano teacher and friend who does music production for teaching me about the intricacies of arrangement and Logic, even if my knowledge is currently very surface level • Toko (@TokoWrites) and Kat (@starunicorn_5) for critiquing my app! • All people who make SWC happen; you all are great <3 ~ Arrangement Notes: • Transcribed partially on MuseScore, with those parts exported to Logic • Pads, drums, cymbals, and some keyboard/piano recorded through MIDI keyboard • Produced on Logic Pro Due to the absence of a remix tree, we have an app hub for this session! Make sure that you comment the link to your completed app before the deadline here: in order for your application to be taken into consideration <3 On another note, make sure to read through the FAQ in the Notes and Credits before starting on your app. Break a leg!! -ˋˏ-༻♪༺-ˎˊ· ♕ Description written by the incredible hosts before me and edited by me ♕ Slides design by , , and on Canva ♕ Music is Masquerade from Phantom of the Opera ♕ , , , , and for hosting, for running the POLAR BEARS this session, and everybody else involved in SWC for helping make this camp what it is <3 Full credits can be found here: ♕ Additionally, the polar bear activity team suggestions studio can be found here ( ) — head over there if you’re interested in volunteering to help out with the pb team this session, or if you’d like to suggest an idea for future dailies or weeklies :) -ˋˏ-༻♪༺-ˎˊ·
