Okay… Im kinda heart broken rn so just ignore my spelling. So, if you didn’t know I run XC and track. Recently, my favorite running shorts company hosted a short design contest for ages 13+. I was so excited, because since I am homeschooled, it’s VERY rare me to find an art contest I can participate in, or have any way of show casing my art. Well anyways I poured out my heart creating 5 different, unique designs, and the team woukd select 200 designs that would be showcased and you could vote for the winner. Today they posted the top 200 designs… and I didn’t even get ONE in. I was beaten by somebody’s scribbles and….. at least FIFTY gen AI designs…. Which were obviously AI. I feel like I am destined to lose at any art contest, because two years ago I entered into my local library’s book mark contest, and I entered 3 times, and forced myself to brothers to do it with me (they both entered once)… and they BOTH WON… and I didn’t. I was beaten by somebody who drew a kawaii cat (had obviously used a how to draw book btw). Even worst, I was forced to attend the winners ceremony since my brothers won, and watched everyone get to go up and receive there prize for 2 hours >:( Im also going to point out that they obviously didn’t want homeschoolers winning, so they listed my older brother, who is in high school, as an elementary school student when they published his book mark, and did the same with my little brother, except he was listed as a 9th grader. This is completely messed up! Im a good artist, and don’t say “there were probably just better designs!” Yeah, I got beaten by someone photoshopping a leopard pattern onto shorts. Like what did I do wrong!? What is the point of me doing art if literally nobody is gonna appreciate it! I forfeited a ton of my free time to make those designs! Like these people who cheated using AI have no idea they just ruined my entire week, and my artistic career! If AI beat me in a short contest, how can I ever expect to become a concept or comic artist when I grow up!? They really have no idea they just broke some 13 year old girls heart without even trying. >:(
Designs Im the project: 1: my design with pidgeons eating pizza (I thought it was cute :( 2: frog wizards cause I like them :( 3: my favorite thing to draw, chubby Bees :( 4: fireballs… cause it’s hot outside 5: my worms on a string :( 6: one of the many designs I lost to 7: another one that I lost to 8: like seriously? Were the judges just working against me!? 9: obviously Gen AI art, like the white dog with the bow’s ear isn’t even finished, and the dog holding the frisby has five legs! 10: more Gen Ai. The art style is randomly switching, which is pretty obvious 11: like seriously… can it be more obvious! 12: some of these don’t even qualify for capybaras!
