Hi human! Guess what? It's your first time on earth You're doing your best I know it hurts And sometimes it rains And mentality can feel like a pest But the most important thing to remember is that it's okay to take a rest And sometimes it storms You don't have to pretend hope is what your heart stores It's okay to admit you're confused It's okay to admit that you felt used You're not alone You are not a stone Clogging up a stream You're not broken You're not a crack or a flaw You are not a broken saw You're a person Not a burden Loved, beautiful, unique, perfectly imperfect You are not less than anyone else So guess what? It's all okay Even if you don't feel that way You don't have to think positive Or be perfect You don't have to think you do or don't deserve it You feel how you feel, you think how you think And often, that might stink It might seem that others are doing so much better Or that you're not doing well enough But appearances can lie -just a big bluff Everyone is struggling Everyone is hurting Some hide it Some show it Some deny it But no matter what, we've all known it Life is life People are people We make mistakes And sometimes joy is what it takes But sometimes that's what it gives And sometimes the light in you lives So hi human! Guess what? You're in a grey area right now And you might not be able to see how You'll get through it So you try to shoo it But that won't make it leave Sometimes it just makes your chest heave But if you let someone else in Maybe just then you can pin That feeling down just enough to accept it And it'll be better than if you'd just left it Because it's not a flaw What at first might have looked like a gaping maw Is a piece of you And now maybe you can see that that's true So hi human! Guess what? People have stories to tell Some of them have fell Other have flown But either way, they did it wind-blown You can neither soar nor be knocked down without a breeze And that thought might make you freeze But the sunshine'll melt it away Because you'll end up flying either way So hi. Guess what? You're human I'm human They're human We're all just trying our best We all compare ourselves to the rest But we're all special We're all loved We're all different We're all unique We're all just trying to get through the bleak So help someone else out Give them a helpful shout Be their friend and they'll be yours And that'll make your heart feel like it soars Let yourself know You are not below Because it's all of our first times We make it up as we go And all we can really do is take it slow
