little facts about freddie mercury because i feel like sharing with the class - his birth name was farrokh bulsara! he got the name “freddie” from classmates and teachers who couldn’t pronounce his real name in school and later changed it legally along with his last name simply because he didn’t find “bulsara” very interesting. - he was born in zanzibar and grew up in india! he is of indian parsi descent and went to school in india where he joined a small band and played piano. his family moved back to zanzibar for a while until fleeing to the uk to escape the zanzibar revolution. - he had a condition called hyperdontia! he was born with 4 extra front teeth which pushed up against the already existing ones and created his distinctive overbite. he was self-conscious about it but never got them removed because it actually helped with his voice! - he had a vibrato of around 7.04 hZ and subharmonics! his rare vocal anatomy combined along with his hyperdontia created a very unique and one of a kind voice! - he studied art and graphic design in college! he was actually a very talented illustrator and designed queen’s crest himself! that’s it for now bc i’m sleepy but i could go on and on about this man fr ❤️❤️❤️
