"The Blast" is a Sci-Fi roleplay based in the year 2145. Prompt ~ Technology has become the most successful and advanced branch of life in the universe. We’ve invented everything from flying cars to sky trains and homes on the bottom of the ocean. Transportation is no longer restricted to the ground. Even economics have changed. Hardly any people use cash anymore. It’s all virtual, granted people know how to set it all up. Children learn more about technology and what it used to be like before it evolved in school, and jobs have almost completely changed. There’s domesticated robots for most things, leaving millions of people jobless. They have revolted, protested, and boycotted many times. This only resulted in many of them being unlawfully and unfairly thrown into prison. The government has become too strong for their own good—leaving many people stranded and homeless due to @buse of power. Background ~ It was a normal day, cars buzzing in the clouds and robots helping elderly ladies cross the busy streets. People were running around, tending to daily things that they’re still able to tend to. Around 2pm, the sky became pitch black, so dark that even the brightest stars weren’t visible. Families were confused, children were curious. After several minutes of this darkness, a fatal blast came from the sky, almost like a nuclear explosion. Windows shattered, homes destroyed, and most of all—people d13d. Nearly 80% of the population was completely obliterated. Something strange has happened to the world. Humans have turned into something mysterious and disturbing, robots have awakened—as if they’ve gained minds of their own. It was chaos all around. The streets were empty, most buildings were totaled halfway, if not all the way. All signs of human life have vanished without a trace. Also, the survivors have gained something strange too… supernatural powers. Some have gotten used to using them, and some haven’t even noticed them yet. While most people were k1ll3d in the blast, some lucky—or unlucky—few were spared.
