Moonlight and Nightfall approached the willow, staying directly next to each other. When they sat down, Nightfall's tail laid on top of Moonlight's tail. Juneclaw sat down nearby, Silverpelt following behind to sit next to him. "Foxpaw and Stonepaw, it's time to get your mentors. Foxpaw your mentor will be Firefly, and Stonepaw your mentor will be Juneclaw." Specklestar mewed. "And may you be a good mentor." she added to Juneclaw. Juneclaw nodded, padding over to Stonepaw. "Hello, Stonepaw!" he meowed friendlily. “Hi Juneclaw! I can’t wait to learn how to hunt prey!” Stonepaw meowed. “I like your optimism! We can go now, if you’d like?” Juneclaw suggested. Stumppaw padded over. “Hi, Stonepaw! I’m Stumppaw. I became an apprentice a little ago. I’m Tailclaw’s little sister, and Silverpelt’s my brother’s mate, and Juneclaw’s Silverpelt’s brother, so technically I’m like Juneclaw’s sister-in-code? Anyway, congrats on being an apprentice! You guys going hunting? Can I come too!? I’m sure Darktooth won’t mind!” Juneclaw shot Stumppaw a why-are-you-so-chatty look. “Um... sure!” Stonepaw paused a little, following Stumppaw’s train of thought. “So Darktooth is your mentor? Also I want to catch a mouse.” “Yup.” Stumppaw confirmed proudly. “Ok, let’s go, then.” Juneclaw meowed. Stonepaw walks out of camp and sniffs the air, catching a faint hint of rabbit. "This way." he meows, walking towards the scent. Juneclaw nods and follows behind swiftly, letting Stonepaw take the lead. Stumppaw trailed even more behind, curiously watching them both. Stonepaw slowly stalks towards the rabbit and… pounces! “Ooh a rabbit!” he exclaims proudly. “Good job! Now, what do you say to checking out the borders?” Juneclaw suggests, “But first, as we’re so close to Camp still, let’s take this to Cedarwood.” "Sure! After that, you can teach me about the territory." Juneclaw nods. "I'mma go hunt on my own." Stumppaw announced.
