[THE REVOLUTION BEGINS!] For too long, Romanians have broken their backs working for a regime that serves foreign masters and despotic tyrants, not the proletariat. It was a communist regime installed with force, with a bayonet at the throat of Romania by the very 'saviors' we fought and bled with. It is us who had our property stolen for the 'good of the people,' yet entirely against our will. No more. A group of political opposers and dissenters within the Romanian Workers’ Party have had enough. We own the means over the factories. Today, we turn those means against the oppressors. Political dissenters have armed the citizens with the very weapons they are producing. Soviet troops may have ‘left’ yet still lay at our borders. Peace will never be achieved with the red terror still looming! For the tyrant, Ghoerghe uses his ‘anti-Soviet’ stance is nothing but a fake propaganda lie to keep himself in power while he continues to use Soviet-style brutality against his own people! Under the guise of a routine political council, the trap was sprung. The tyrant’s guards were overwhelmed by partisans. Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej has been executed, his crimes laid bare for all Romanians to see. The physical offices of power are held. The old regime is dismantled, and its collaborators are being detained. We declare the establishment of a free, sovereign, and Democratic State of Romania. To ensure our survival, the Romanian Liberation Army is officially formed. Let any hardliner communist who wishes to defend tyranny face us. Let any Soviet force that seeks to crush our liberty know that they do not face an 'insurrection,' they face a united nation taking up arms against tyranny. Liberty or death! [Post-Coup] The Romanian Liberation Army shall liberate the Radio Bucharest broadcasting towers, for the news of freedom must be spread! The general public desperately needs this vital information. Let it be known, far and wide, that Romania stands against Moscow! Utilizing these very same broadcasting towers, a message is sent to our next-door neighbors, Yugoslavia. Having seen their split with the Soviets, we request their aid against a common threat, for Romania has only two friends: Yugoslavia and the Black Sea. [Strategy in the likelihood of Soviet intervention] A significant portion of regular military forces will be pulled back into the Carpathian Mountains, using the rugged terrain to neutralize the Soviet tank advantages, which we would heavily fortify and mine the mountain passes that Wallachia and Moldavia to Transylvania. The Romanian Liberation Army would reorganize into small, highly mobile cells. Their primary objective will be the total disruption of enemy supply lines rather than engaging in direct, open combat. By utilizing irregular tactics, our fighters will slowly drain the resources of foreign forces and exhaust their logistical networks over time.
