With the possible influx of chemical weapons into the Karakian conflict, it is clear that it is a race against time to save the civilian population before this tragedy takes more lives. Strike operations have been launched as Vajra missiles have struck key Red Line depots, most of which were assessed to have stored Red Mist gas. To the west, evacuation routes have already been laid out for the civilian population, as three additional airfields have been constructed by the UGPF. The Green Army has continued its advances, as two fronts have been linked up, with a third expected to join with the others soon. Over 1,000 civilians have been liberated from small towns in Karakia, as the CISR is expected to set up a field hospital in the region. The Rheic Federation has also warned of devastating consequences if the Red Line uses chemical weapons at any point in the war, either against the Green Army, UGPF, CISR, felintarian staff, or civilian populations. Appropriately, gas masks are being distributed to all active troops, as lessons learned from the Hegemite-Soviet War are being applied to the Karakian front. Naming conventions have also been modified, as the original landing sites are now referred to as Zone One or simply the Southern Front; the new front directly against the Red Line is either called Zone Two or the Western Front. The former Emergency Secretary, Catlaf Hanbal, has also been removed from charge of the Karakian front, as First Executive Mulli has taken it upon himself to monitor all activity. News outlets are unsure why, but as a speech is scheduled sometime soon, the press may find out sooner or later (in-lore, only domestic FRSN officials know about the recent events regarding Hanbal). Negotiations are still open. Our hand is still open. Mercy will always be an option.
